Unlike Sarah Wynn, my thumb is not the slightest bit green whatsoever.
I have one fern in my home, totally neglected, which for some unknown reason is still alive. My annual spring trip to the garden centre is for cedar mulch only, the sole purpose of which is to keep the weeds at bay in my ‘flower-less’ beds. Even my lawn is patchy.
But don’t get me wrong. I can definitely appreciate a beautiful field of flowers when I see it. And there’s certainly that and a whole lot more at Wynn Farm’s Flower Fields in Adolphustown.
After over two years of planning, Sarah Wynn and her crew opened for their first season in 2022 and are excited another colourful. Located just a few kilometres west of their long-standing apple orchard, Wynn’s Farms Flower Fields at 9592 Loyalist Parkway in Adolphustown is a sure bet for anyone that enjoys walking among colourful sunflowers.
They have several fields of sunflowers, each planted at different times throughout the spring to extend the season, making it Ontario’s longest-blooming sunflower farm! They also have a variety of pick-your-own flowers where you can create your own bouquets, available from mid-July until first frost.
In addition to friends-&-family picking, bookings will be available for small group sessions, girls nights, date nights, kids sessions, workshops and similar gatherings. For some of these themed experiences you can take home wonderful branded charcuterie boards made by Stone City Woodworks.
Be sure stop by their storefront for a scooped ice cream or a cold beverage. Check out their website for pricing, special events and other fun things happening at the farm. It’s sure to be a fun summer among the flowers. Find out more at wynnfarms.ca.
