For nearly my entire life I’ve loved thrift shopping and antiques because there is always a new treasure to find that I never know I need until I see it. When I moved to the Lennox and Addington two years ago I immediately researched where the best places to thrift were.
We’ve received some inquiries about this topic, so, naturally, I was chosen to create a list of places to thrift and find unique antiques in the area. Without further ado, here are some of my favourite thrift shopping and antiquing spots located here in Lennox and Addington.
A&A Antiques
8542 Dundas Street West, Napanee
If you’re like me and love vintage décor, A&A Antiques is the place to go. With the vast amount of vintage items and antiques, there is something for everyone’s interests. The more you look around, the more cool and different items you’ll find, so be sure to put some time aside to get the full experience!
McNikk’s Thrift and More
18 Dundas Street East, Napanee
Located in the heart of downtown Napanee is McNikk’s Thrifts and More. This is one of my favourite places to go because it is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that circles the profits back into the community. If you’re looking for a classic thrift store with unique treasures and great prices, this is the place to go!
Taken Back Retro
111 John Street, Napanee
Just off of Dundas Street in Downtown Napanee lives the retro game collector’s dream. Taken Back Retro has so much to offer in the way of retro games, toys, trading cards, vinyls and more! Check out the retro game systems they have for purchase and peruse the wall of games. If you’re searching for nostalgia, stop in and look around.
Napanee Charitable Thrift Store
113 Richmond Boulevard, Napanee
Similarly to McNikk’s Thrift and More, the Napanee Charitable Thrift Store is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that donates to our local charities. This well-organized store makes treasure hunting easy and enjoyable. With the consistently updated shelves, there is always something new to find. Add Napanee Charitable Thrift Store to your list of places to go thrift shopping.
Joyful Closet
113 Richmond Blvd Unit 12, Napanee
Stepping into Joyful Closet, I’m sure something will catch your eye. Explore the racks of beautiful and interesting shirts, pants, and more. You can try on the clothes and see what suits you best. With their thrift store prices and high-quality items, this is the place to find your next best outfit!

Habitat for Humanity Restore
450 Centre Street North, Napanee
The Habitat for Humanity Restore is a non-profit home improvement store, filled with furniture, appliances, home decor, and more. The inventory changes often, so there’s always new treasures to discover. Stop in and find your newest prized possession!

Hawk Vale Antiques and Old Stuff
1408 County Road 1 East, Strathcona
Find beautiful and unique antiques at Hawk Vale Antiques and Old Stuff. This picturesque shop is the perfect place to immerse yourself in vintage items and search for something you love. Walk around the garden to find more quaint buildings filled with antiques. There is something to fit everyone’s interests here, so stop in soon!

J. Bos Antiques
106 Main Street, Odessa
If you enjoy antiquing in search of rare finds, arrange a visit to explore J. Bos Antiques in Odessa. Housed in a beautiful 1825 stone building, owner Jan Bos has been an avid collector since the age of 14. Open by appointment or by chance, you will find a carefully-selected inventory of Canadiana, folk art, primitives and everyday use items.

The Wilton Mill
308 Simmons Road, Wilton
Step back in time with a visit to The Wilton Mill, Lennox & Addington’s newest antique destination. You’ll find an impressive assortment of pop culture items and collectables, including tin lunch boxes, radios, mid-century modern decor, telephones, lamps, nautical items, wooden crates, toys, games, movie props and much, much more.
This isn’t your average antique shop. Explore their hand-picked, well-curated selection.

Salvage Garden
2900 County Road 14, Enterprise
Salvage Garden is antiquing at its finest. Located in an old church, there is an incredible collection of architectural and industrial objects, artifacts, and antiques to search through. The owners have an eye for finding the best pieces, so if you love antique décor and furniture, stop by and look around.
Book Shop
2-10 County Rd 4, Tamworth
One of my favourite ways to buy books is by thrifting them, and the Book Shop in Tamworth is the perfect place to do so. The owners carefully select each book for their collection and have accumulated over 20,000 amazing books spanning dozens of genres. Spend an afternoon browsing their collection and find a book (or many) that fits your interest.

Little Boutique
22 Spencer Avenue, Cloyne
While exploring Addington Highlands, be sure to stop in to Little Boutique! Here, you’ll find carefully curated racks, filled with like-new to new clothes. There are shelves stocked with local products, from handmade soaps to wood-carved decor. With quality clothes at consignment store prices, this is the perfect place to shop for your next outfit!
