Small town with a big name
Moscow, Ontario was named to commemorate Napoleon’s retreat from Moscow, Russia in 1812.
Prior to that this area was known as Huffman Settlement and for a brief time just before settling on Moscow it was called Springfield. Today this rural area is known for its farmland and lakes nearby.
- Close to Camden and Varty Lake
- Camden Lake Provincial Wildlife Reserve is a great spot to spend your day. Pack your hiking gear, this beautiful reserve has two trails to choose from: The Blue Heron Trail and Cedar Point Trail, both with an easy to navigate asphalt path. You can also launch your boat here and go fishing here.
