It took a little while longer than we expected, but with recent snowfalls the L&A Forest Trails in Flinton are finally ready to explore! We think hikers, cross-country skiers, snowshoers and even fat bikers are going to love to play around outside this winter.
Naturally L&A recently invested in a slick new trail groomer, so approximately 3-4km of trail have been groomed so far. Kudos to Eric, our local volunteer, for getting the trails in great shape. The remaining trails within the 10km system are perfect for snowshoeing and rough hiking.
The trails. located at 100 John Street in Flinton, can be entered just east of the Addington Highlands Municipal Office. Ample parking is available and the trailhead is located just past the outdoor covered rink. Be sure to bring along your skates; the ice is in great shape!
