The county runs from fully serviced provincial park camping in the south to remote island sites accessible only by water in the north, with RV options at the winery and Crown Land solitude for those who want to disappear entirely.


Serviced sites at Bon Echo are the hardest to secure in the county. Reservations open in January and peak summer weekends fill within hours of opening. UEL Heritage Park and Deerock Lake operate on a more relaxed booking window but summer weekends still move quickly. Crown Land is available year-round with no reservation required.

A Village Base in Tamworth
