Step into the quiet magic of lilac season at Rossland Gardens on beautiful Amherst Island.

Our Lilac Forest Walkabout returns May 23–24, from 11am–6:30pm—an invitation to wander through our incredible lilac forest, in full bloom at its peak. Just a short ferry ride away, this self-guided experience allows you to move at your own pace along meandering, groomed trails, through clouds of soft violet, lavender, and white. Fragrance hangs gently in the air, and each turn offers a new moment of stillness and beauty—along with countless natural photo opportunities.

This is one of our most cherished events of the year—a chance to slow down, take in the season and experience the garden at its most abundant. The walkabout is free and open to all, and you are welcome to linger as long as you like.

Lilac bouquets and our small-batch lilac jelly will be available for purchase through the gallery—perfect for bringing a piece of the experience home with you.
