Museum Kids: Pom-Pom Monsters

February 03, 2024
Cost: FREE
Type of Event: For Families

For this craft we’ll be walking through the metaphorical deep dark forest to discover the creatures that give us goosebumps. We’re exploring all things spooky (and maybe even a little bit silly) when we create our own pom-pom monsters!

Cost: FREE!
Time: 10:30AM
Ages: For ages 4 – 11 (we have an afternoon session for teens where they can learn how to crochet toadstools!)
No pre-registration is required. However, once the event reaches capacity and/or supplies run out, the event will be closed.

About the Artist:
Hi, my name is Tanya and I am a mom of 3 who have many knitted/crochet hats, mitts, scarves and vests!! I started my career in Graphic Design and was a photographer for many years. I have always been artistic and interested in trying new mediums and styles from drawing and painting to playing instruments and photography. My mom taught me the basics of knitting when I was around 10 and I rekindled my love for this art form after I had my kids. I then switched to crochet as it is more conducive to work on and take with you anywhere. There is something very satisfying and relaxing when making something with your hands that I love. It brings me great joy to constantly challenge myself with new and more difficult projects.
