Indigenous actor Gary Farmer is a solid blues musician with a great band backing him up (The Troublemakers). The band’s Memphis/Chicago blues influences are John Lee Hooker, Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf and Freddie King while also playing the contemporary blues of Keb Mo, Dr. John, Taj Mahal and Robben Ford. He recently released a new album Fool For Love which won Best Americana Album at the 2023 New Mexico Music Awards. The Troublemakers new album, Lucky 7, will be released June 23.

You will recognize Gary Farmer from big screens and small appearing in Powwow Highway (1989); Dead Man (1995) and Smoke Signals (1998).

Recent productions include series regular on Resident Alien, Reservation Dogs, The English, The Curse (2023) and Independent films: Quantum Cowboys, Blood Quantum, The Incredible 25th Year of Mitzi Bearclaw and Run Woman Run. Appearing in Cody Lightning’s new feature, Hey Viktor!
