🌱The Land O’Lakes Garden Club & Flinton Community Garden🌼 are excited to welcome special guest speaker Carson Arthur on Wednesday, June 10 at 6:30 PM at Emmanuel United Church in Northbrook!
Carson is well known for his passion for gardening, sustainable living, and helping communities reconnect with the importance of growing their own food🥕🌽🍅Through his work on television and in communities across Canada, his mission is to educate small communities on the issues that truly affect us; he’ll discuss topics such as changes in Canadian agriculture, supply chain issues, and the importance of sustainability🥔🥬
🌱His presentation, “Food Insecurity – The Importance of Growing Food,” will explore how gardening can play an important role in supporting healthier communities, improving access to fresh food, and helping families become more self-sufficient💪This promises to be an informative and thought-provoking evening for gardeners of all experience levels.
