Topsy Farms Trails

Forested Island Farm | Amherst Island

Topsy Farms Trails on Amherst Island feature a 2km groomed forest path leading to an on-site sugar shack. Visitors can explore 200 acres of bushland that support diverse avian life and wildlife, with future plans to expand the network to the historic coastal bluffs of Loyalist Township.

Topsy Farms occupies 200 acres of bushland on Amherst Island, where a multi-generational farming family has opened their property to visitors. The trail system follows pathways that were first worn by deer and later cleared by farmers, connecting the interior forest to the western shoreline. Depending on the season, you might walk past frolicking lambs in the fields on your way to a dense forest that supports a wide range of bird and animal life. The property also holds a piece of military history, with coastal bluffs where cannons were positioned during the War of 1812.
