Lennox & Addington is home to the L&A Dark Sky Viewing Area, the most southerly spot in Ontario with views of the sky very similar to what was available more than 100 years ago.

Grab your canoe, kayak or paddleboard and head to a local launch. With over 100 lakes and rivers to choose from, L&A is truly a paddling paradise.

4. Catch a fish

Rather fish than paddle? Take to the water and drop your line into one of our many lakes and rivers – anytime of the year!

5. Pet an alpaca

Ever want to pet alpaca or get an up close look at some sheep? You can do this here and a whole lot more here in L&A while enjoying an interactive farm experience.

6. Get a par

With four fantastic courses, you’ll love your time out on the links here in Lennox & Addington. Each of our golf courses offer a challenging layout, beautifully maintained greens and fairways.

7. Find a geocache

Lennox & Addington is one of Canada’s premiere geocaching destinations. There area about 1,500 geocaches hidden within our borders.

8. Explore a museum

9. Take a drive

Roll down your windows and hit the road. Our well-kept roadways offer scenic views, rolling hills and lots of twists and turns along the way.

Whether you like to ride on asphalt, gravel or trail, the cycling opportunities here in Lennox & Addington are unlimited.

11. Pick some fresh fruit

Pack your beach gear and lets go! With an abundance of lakes in the area, you know you’ll also find some great places to swim.

14. Camp in a tent

The camping opportunities are amazing here in Lennox & Addington, especially at Bon Echo Provincial Park. They have 530 campsites that include over 200 electrical-serviced sites, 30 back country canoe and hike-in sites, and 21 roofed accommodation structures.

15. Snowshoe in a forest

Cut your own trail at the L&A Forest Trails in Flinton. This 126-acre property has 10km of trail that is perfect to explore all year long.

16. Support a local restaurant

Here in the Lennox & Addington, there are plenty of amazing home-grown restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious meal.

17. Take a ferry ride

Make a day of it and take a fun ferry ride over to Amherst Island. There’s so much to see and do on this unique island community.

18. Go birdwatching

While you’re on the island, be sure to keep an eye out for owls and more than 350 species of birds that call L&A home. Our parks and conservation lands make a great home for many feathered friends.

19. Sample some baked goods

There are so many great bakeries in Lennox & Addington. We suggest you sample them all and choose your favourite.

20. Learn about bees

Visit The Bee Spot and learn what it’s like to be a beekeeper. Suit up in their provided beekeeping gear to get a close up look at a hive and see these magnificent bees in action.

21. Tour the Loyalist Parkway

Take a drive along the beautiful Loyalist Parkway and visit the parks and local businesses that are found along the way.

22. Go on a river cruise

Hop aboard the Norman Paul and take a tour of the Napanee River. This licensed 45-foot, custom-built pontoon boat is a perfect way to spend an afternoon or evening.

23. Go snowmobiling

Lennox & Addington has access to over 200 kms of snowmobile trails and connections to trails throughout Ontario.


24. Shop locally
